QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS #6
The following are answers to questions received from potential offerors. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
110. Q. The heavy proposal workload in the port has delayed the review of work spec items by the offeror and subcontractor community. This has also delayed the identification of issues to be submitted by bidder question for clarification of the work item specs. We request that an extension be provided for the bidder question deadline of at least one week and a proposal due date extension of at least three weeks.
A. Amendment 6 extends proposal due date from 29 September 2017 at 1500 EST to
10 October 2017 at 1200 PM (Noon) EST.
111. Q. The contractor requests an extension to the bid date for the following reasons:
1) Several answers to questions issued with amendment 0003. All of these have to be sent to our vendors and subcontractors to process and re-price.
2) Outstanding questions still remain unanswered.
3) Material identified as GFM is now CFM.
4) Hurricane impact has adversely affected several vendors based out of Jacksonville and Houston, which is delaying receipt of pricing. Some of these include Government directed Tech Reps like Wartsila, B.F. Goodrich and Moody Marine.
In order to accommodate final preparation of our proposal the contractor requests an extension of at least 3 weeks.
A. Amendment 6 extends proposal due date from 29 September 2017 at 1500 EST to 10 October 2017 at 1200 PM (Noon) EST.
