3.0 General Notes

3.1 All data observed during the performance of this test must be regarded as significant. If sufficient space is not provided for the recording of required test data, it should be made on an attachment to the test procedure.

3.2 Completed test procedures shall be completely filled in, dated, signed and/or initialed at each entry as indicated. If certain data called for is not recorded, an entry shall be made in Section 6.0 explaining the missing information.

3.3 Any substitution of components or equipment during the course of the test must carry complete documentation, i.e. cleanliness, calibration information, etc. This information shall be recorded in the applicable sections of the test procedure.

3.4 Discrepancies and/or omissions encountered during the performance of this test shall be reported to the engineer responsible for the component/system. The discrepancy or omission shall be recorded in Section 6.0.

3.5 Deviations from this test procedure or changes in the installation from approved drawings shall not be made without prior approval from the engineer responsible for the system. Deviations must be recorded in Section 6.0 and ultimately must be approved by all reviewers of the test procedure.

5.0 Test Procedure

Use reference 2.1.1 and attached figures to locate components and sub-assemblies.

See Figure 4 for identification of the ISO latch datum aids.

Dimensions taken from ISO latch mounts are to be from the tip of the ISO latch datum aids.

5.1 Install the ISO latch datum aids into their respective bolt patterns (i.e. install the HPU datum aids into where the HPU ISO latch mounts, etc.)

5.2 Create/find a horizontal reference plane using the ISO latch datum aids SDC2, SDC4 and DC6.

5.3 Create a global centerline plane which runs through center of 4 inch block on aft fixture and midway between innermost alignment pins on forward fixture and is perpendicular to the horizontal reference plane.

5.4 Measure and record all dimensions in Table 1. Use Figure 1 through Figure 5 as a reference to where the specific dimensions are taken from. See notes below for information regarding the measurement of each dimension.
