About this file
This document is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for a Request for Information (RFI) related to a new requirement involving a containerized solution for military transport. The RFI seeks market research on potential products with specific technical requirements, including transportation by Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), four-person lift capability, and packaging within a 4'x3'x2' volume with a maximum loaded weight of 150 lbs. The government is particularly interested in responses from autonomy software companies and is open to various engagement approaches, such as independent software proposals, vendor partnerships, or multiple collaborative responses.
The RFI responses are due by close of business on October 20th, 2025, and the document emphasizes that this is a market research effort, not a formal solicitation. The government is seeking information on current products and capabilities from vendors, with no incumbent contract currently in place. Potential respondents are encouraged to provide details about their technological solutions that might meet the outlined requirements, with the understanding that the government is receptive to any viable and feasible solutions for this new requirement.
