About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) seeking industry input on a Tactical Resupply Unmanned Aircraft System (TRUAS) for the U.S. Marine Corps. The RFI targets a small to medium-sized Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft capable of supporting logistics across the last tactical mile in Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations (EABO) and Distributed Maritime Operations (DMO). Key system requirements include a 100-150 lb payload capacity, 40 nautical mile mission radius, minimum 100-knot airspeed, autonomous flight capabilities, cyber survivability, and compatibility with Marine Corps communication and control systems.
NAVAIR plans to potentially award an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) in FY2026 and is requesting detailed technical responses from potential vendors within 15 calendar days of the RFI posting. Interested companies must submit a 20-page Capability Statement electronically, addressing specific questions about past performance, prototype delivery feasibility, technical approach, and company capabilities. The RFI emphasizes that responses are voluntary, will not guarantee future contract awards, and no funds are available for response preparation. Respondents must provide comprehensive technical attributes, logistics and maintainability details, interoperability information, manufacturing capabilities, and cyber survivability features.
