About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers regarding the Coalition Affordable Maritime Strike (CAMS) Weapon System, a pre-solicitation opportunity from the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).
The key details are as follows: NAVAIR is conducting early market research to identify potential sources that have the capability to rapidly develop, integrate, test, and field a short to mid-range maritime strike weapon system for use by international partners. There is no incumbent contract or contractor associated with this requirement. NAVAIR plans to hold an Industry Day event in late August 2024 to provide more information and conduct one-on-one meetings. The goal is to have production capability in place by 2027. The CAMS weapon system is intended for exclusive use by international partners, not the U.S. Navy. NAVAIR will publish the Industry Day Q&As and presentation materials on SAM.gov after the event. No classified discussions are planned, and no clearances are required to attend.
