Question # Question Answer
Because of proprietary reasons the OEM does not provide customers access to the following manuals:
- AE 2100D3 Engine Manual (EM) (CSP 31013)
- AE Series Standard Practices Manual (SPM)
(CSP 40000)
Manuals number are for reference only. The
Government is not asking for the manuals in the PWS, nor will the Government provide these manuals.
Can NAVAIR provide a list of repairable parts that require NAVAIR authorization for cannibalization?
Yes, the Government will upload to the tech library.
Please confirm the 100% rated power requirement is in reference to engines testing at a maximum temperature of 1366° F.
The PWS was updated to clarify this requirement.
How would oil floods, corrosion events, maintenance induced damaged, etc be classified?
Will these be covered under Section 10.1?
The finalized CLIN structure addresses this item.
Can the Government provide Time Since New
(TSN) and Cycles Since New (CSN) for each asset, in addition to the logbooks?
Time Since New (TSN) and Cycles Since
New (CSN) data is located in the logbooks that will be provided in the Technical
Library upon final RFP release.
Ref PWS Section 10.1, as the range of FOD events can be considerably broad, the contractor recommends that the Government define minor and major FOD event categories with examples of the range of events associated with each.
Offerors should use their historical data and experience when developing their proposals for one FOD price.
Ref. Section 5.4, since the Master Repair
Document (MRD) is an OEM document, will the contractor be able to provide condemned component reporting using an equivalent document?
The Government will allow an equivalent document to be used for reporting as long as it contains the key data elements.
