About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) responding to vendor inquiries regarding RFP MG-02122026, dated February 20, 2026.
The document addresses two key questions: First, regarding obsolete parts, LBNL acknowledges that Delta Power Supplies has a 32-34 week lead time (12-14 weeks for first article units plus 20 weeks for production units), which does not meet the stated November 10, 2026 delivery requirement but aligns with the 51-week estimated term noted in RFP Section 1.1. LBNL's response requires vendors to conduct parts kit verification detailing any component discrepancies and submit an alternate parts list for review and approval; if no alternate part is available, LBNL will evaluate and provide guidance. Second, regarding electrical device certification requirements referenced in the Subcontract document, LBNL clarifies that certification requirements apply to all five assembled unit models (including examples such as BPC-2CH-S-18V-24A) for both first article and production items. This Q&A document does not contain pricing information, set-asides, award dates, or other contract award details.

LBNL Response to Questions 03 Re: LBNL RFP MG-02122026 – 02/20/2026
1. If a part or parts have become Obsolete, how will LBNL support this issue?
For all Assemblies:
The Delta Power Supplies have a 12-14 week lead time for first article units and an additional 20 week lead time for production units. Delta may be able to supply the product sooner, but will not commit to anything other than 32-34 weeks.
This does not support your delivery requirement of November 10, 2026, as stated on LBNL Document “Sub-Contract No. TBD”.
Delta’s delivery schedule will support the Estimated Term of 51 weeks (ARO) as noted on the LBNL Request for Proposal (RFP) No.: MG- 02122026 Section 1.1.
LBNL Response: A parts kit verification should be conducted by the vendor detailing component discrepancies, and an alternate parts list should be submitted to LBNL for review and approval.
If an alternate part is not available, LBNL will evaluate and provide guidance accordingly.
2. As stated in the “Subcontract No. TBD” document, Page 2, Electrical
Device Certification Requirement, does this pertain to the actual assembled LBNL Units (ex. BPC-2CH-S-18V-24A and so on)?
LBNL Response: Yes, this pertains to each of the 5 models as first article and production items detailed in this document.
