About this file

This document is Addendum 1, dated June 24, 2026, to the MCS MS Additions & Renovations BP3 project for Mattawan, Michigan (Project AVB-26-507). The addendum provides clarifications and updates to the original bid documents for this building construction and renovation project. Key items addressed include pre-bid Requests for Information (RFIs) covering staff specifications and elevations, glazing and film clarifications, girt depth clarification behind metal panels, door hardware scope, existing interior brick/CMU scope, mason scope regarding water/vapor barriers, and pipe bollard scope clarification. All unanswered RFIs will be distributed with Addendum 2, tentatively released on July 2, 2026. Bidders were reminded that RFI submissions were due June 25, 2026. The addendum includes a logistics plan and reissued work scopes with changes marked in red, along with specifications sections and numerous reissued and new drawing sheets covering architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil components.

The addendum addresses several technical scope clarifications, including details on spread footings for new openings in existing bearing walls, proper installation of new WF 31 footings to match existing conditions or be doweled into existing footings, pipe bollard specifications requiring supply and installation per Section 33.1111, and clarification that all pipe bollards and bollard covers are to be supplied by Section 15.4111 and installed by Section 15.4111. The document specifies that bidders must read and adhere to all data provided and will be held responsible for ensuring a complete turnkey work scope is included in their bids. No pricing information, budget amounts, or incumbent contractor details are provided in this addendum.
