About this file

The Manufacturers List is a document for the City of Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana, related to the 99th Street Path Construction project between Westfield Boulevard and Haverstick Road. This form requires bidders to specify the manufacturers for each piece of equipment they intend to supply for the project, with strict instructions that only one manufacturer can be listed per equipment item. Failure to complete the list comprehensively may result in the bid being deemed non-responsive. The document emphasizes that upon contract award, the listed equipment must be furnished by the named manufacturers, with any substitutions requiring prior owner consent.

The manufacturers list serves as a critical component of the bidding process, ensuring transparency and standardization in equipment sourcing. While the document does not specify pricing details, it establishes a framework for equipment selection that protects the project's technical integrity. The form requires bidders to demonstrate their proposed equipment meets all drawing and specification requirements, with final acceptance contingent on full conformity with the project's technical specifications. This approach allows the City of Carmel to maintain quality control and ensure that all equipment meets the precise needs of the multi-use path construction project.
