Request For Information from Industry #2 (8 June 2015)
Based upon numerous concerns from Industry as to why the Government would require joint ISO quality certification when using a performance based contract, the following questions are being submitted for industry’s input:
1. Does the use of joint-certification (ISO 9001) between contractor and Government cause the potential for an organizational conflict of interest in future procurements?
2. Is there a need for a joint ISO certification (ISO 9001) in performance based contracts?
3. Will the use of a joint ISO certification invalid the tenets of a performance based service acquisition?
4. Is the contractor’s ISO quality certification enough for a performance based contract?
Please provide all responses no later than 1600 hours on 19 June 2015 to the attention of JoAnna Lovett-Black, Contracting Officer, at joanna.lovett-black@bic.usmc.mil. Telephonic repsonses will not be considered.
