About this file
This is an amendment containing questions and answers for solicitation M0026324R0002 for USMC uniform alterations at Parris Island. The document provides responses to 25 industry questions covering operational details like alteration types, staffing requirements, and facility logistics.
Key details clarified include: all alterations will be "as needed" per the Technical Manual with pricing to be proposed by vendors; contractor must provide on-site personnel for fittings and measurements rather than government staff; historical staffing levels were 33 full-time and 7 part-time employees; female recruit activities occur in Building 927 while other operations are in Buildings 6007 and 500A; and contractors must provide their own transportation between facilities. The amendment also clarifies there are no page limits for proposals (only 5MB email size limit), confirms EO 13706 applies to SCA employees, and notes that the contract is covered under Wage Determination 2015-5799 Rev 28.

QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
QUESTION RESPONSE
1. Types of Alterations:
What specific alterations are required for each garment? Please provide a comprehensive list of all alterations to be performed under the contract. This will allow us to accurately calculate and provide pricing for each service on a cost-per-alteration basis.
For example:
Hemming: $[amount] Shortening sleeves: $[amount] Sewing on patches: $[amount]
A detailed breakdown of alterations required for each item (e.g., coats, shirts) will ensure we can meet your requirements effectively and transparently.
Additionally, we need to know what types of alterations or operations are required to be performed on the uniforms/garments. If there is a list available, this will help us provide accurate pricing for each alteration service needed. We must know what alterations are necessary for pricing purposes.
All alterations are ‘as needed’ and covered in the Technical Manual. No $ amounts are given, that is up to the vendor to provide.
2. Tailoring and Marking Process:
Will tailoring and marking of uniforms be handled by government personnel during fittings, with the garments then shipped to the contractor’s facility at the contractor's expense? Alternatively, will the contractor be required to provide personnel on-site during fittings to record measurements, markings, and required alterations for each recruit?
Tailoring and marking of uniforms will not be handled by government personnel during fittings. The contractor will be required to provide personnel onsite during fitting to record measurements, markings and required alterations for each recruit.
3. What are the page count limits, font and font size requirements, and what content is included in the page count?
There is no page limit – only size per email – no more than 5MB per email. If you submit more than one email, each should be titled 1 of x, 2 of x, etc.
4. What is the deadline for the government to provide responses to the Q&A?
There is no deadline on when we will provide an answer. Our goal is to post an amendment with all questions and answers at least one week prior to the closing date.

Both of these referenced items/sections appear to be missing from the section. Will the government clarify those as requirements and correct the 52.212-1 instructions?
