About this file
This is a Location Specification Sheet (LSS) for a wetland mitigation tree and shrub planting project issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Environmental Services Section. The project involves the installation of 500 tree and shrub species in any combination at the River Raisin Watershed Bank Site located on the south side of Braun Road, 1/4 mile west of McCollum Road in Bridgewater Township, Washtenaw County, within the University Region. The specified tree species for planting include Platanus occidentalis, Quercus bicolor, Quercus macrocarpa, and Quercus palustris. Contract services are to be performed at the MDOT Environmental Services Section offices located at 425 West Ottawa Street, Lansing, Michigan 48909. The RFP number is 260000002348, with ReChelle Kendrick serving as the procurement contact and Jeremie Wilson as the program manager.
Price proposals must be submitted using the provided modifiable format and must include all material costs, site preparation, labor, equipment, layout, tree guards, and establishment period costs including plant replacements. The pricing schedule requires bidders to specify costs for each tree/shrub species, provide a lump sum for the installation of 500 species, and itemize costs for tree staking (per individual stake), wetland watering (per each), and wetland cultivation (per each). Contractors are encouraged to offer quick payment terms with a discount percentage if paid within a specified number of days after invoice receipt. The contractor is responsible for any property damage during service performance and must make necessary repairs. Bidders must certify that prices were arrived at independently.
