About this file

The document is a Locates file involving multiple utility providers and local government entities in the Beaverton, Oregon area, including Frontier Communications, Northwest Natural Gas, Portland General Electric, and Tualatin Valley Water. The file provides critical guidance for contractors regarding underground utility location and protection, requiring 48-hour advance notice prior to excavation through the One Call System at (503) 246-6699. Contractors must comply with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 757.541 to 757.571 and take precautions to protect existing public and private utility lines, with specific requirements to notify the Beaverton School District Transportation 24 hours before any street closure.

While the document primarily focuses on utility location protocols, it intersects with a related state and local contract opportunity for tenant improvements to the Beaverton Building's Oregon Startup Center (OSC). The tenant improvement project involves remodeling spaces on an occupied third-floor of the Beaverton E-Suites, including creating offices for the OSC, a non-profit incubator space, and a shared kitchenette. Contractors must adhere to strict notification procedures, maintain work areas free of debris, and obtain express approval from the City Traffic Engineer for any street closures, emphasizing the importance of precise coordination and communication during utility location and construction activities.
