About this file

This document is an Amendment (No. 04) to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility/Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment, specifically for a Thin Spray on Liner project. The amendment, issued on May 23, 2025, addresses two bidder questions regarding electrical work and certification requirements. The first response clarifies that electrical work must be coordinated with the BSI Construction Manager KAJV supervision, with contact information provided for Josh Schurger for electrical coordination. The second response indicates that CIP/NANCE Certification is not required for field testing.

The solicitation (LBNF-367397-JEE) has a proposal due date of May 30, 2025, and is associated with the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. The project involves a competitive Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under NAICS 23832 for applying Thin Spray Liner (TSL) to shotcrete liner at the 4850 Level. Up to three IDIQ subcontracts may be awarded, with the first task order focusing on lab testing, field trials, and test reporting, with an expected start date of July 2025. The work will be performed at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, SD, with specific access and logistical constraints outlined in the original solicitation.
