ASRS Expert
Analysts
Apply operational knowledge, judgment and decision-making skills while carrying out all aspects of the report processing workflow including screening, coding, and de-identifying reports as well as calling back reporters and synopsis writing.
Expert Analysts also support safety analyses and generation of safety products such as Alert Bulletins and
For Your Information notices, the
CALLBACK and Safety In Sight newsletters, monthly safety telecons, and special studies. An ASRS Alert
Message Coordinator shall be assigned from the staff of the ASRS
Expert Analysts and/or Project
Manager.
ASRS Expert Analysts must have at least 10 years of operational experience in their domain.
All ASRS Expert Analysts are required to have expertise in aviation operations including knowledge of airline/carrier procedures, terminology, schedules, and equipage, government regulations and requirements.
The Contractor shall provide staff with operations experience and/or certification in each of the following disciplines:
• Commercial Airline Pilot (14 CFR Part 61, 121, 125, and Part 135)
• General Aviation Pilot (14 CFR Part 91, private, multi-engine, and corporate)
• Air Traffic Control (Tower, TRACON, ARTCC)
• Aviation Maintenance (14 CFR Part 91, 135, 121 operations)
• UAS/ Drone Operations (14 CFR Part 107) or substantial industry experience.
Additional expertise may be required in the following topic areas: Dispatch, Ground
Operations and Cabin crew and other domains may be required.
Expert Analysts may not simultaneously hold a position with an airline, rail carrier or organization that would create the potential for a personal conflict of interest.
ASRS
Assistant
Analysts
Support all aspects of report processing, including report de-identification, with minimal supervision.
ASRS Assistant Analyst should have a combination of education and experience related to the aviation domain to provide support to the Expert Analysts with minimal training. All analysts must maintain knowledge of current aviation operations to identify potential de-identification concerns.

Administer and maintain databases, data mining and visualization, maintain and augment report processing software, data back-ups and recovery, system trouble shooting, and system and application augmentations.
The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring staffing have expertise in all relevant areas required to support the requirements of the SOW which may include Oracle and
PostGres SQL databases, Angular and Angular
JS, Java / JavaScript and other languages as required.

Publications
Generate ASRS newsletters
(CALLBACK), UAS Safety-In-
Sight electronic mailings, and the
C3RS newsletters (Inside the Rail), in addition to maintaining and updating the ASRS and C3RS website and generating high-quality technical publications and presentations for ASRS and C3RS safety products and special studies.
Skills in technical writing, editing, desktop publication, computer graphics, and presentation design; including multi-media, website, and mobile-responsive website design and maintenance.
