About this file
This is Addendum #1 to an Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) issued by Valencia College, a district board of trustees in Florida, for Beverage and Snack Vending Services across multiple campuses. The College operates approximately 37 vending machines (a mix of traditional beverage and snack units and smart/micro markets) distributed across 9 campuses throughout the Orlando area and Kissimmee. The service locations include the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, Downtown Orlando Campus, East Campus, Heart of Florida United Way Center for Accelerated Training, Lake Nona Campus, Osceola Campus, West Campus, Winter Park Campus, School of Public Safety, and Poinciana Campus. The College has an overall enrollment of 72,674 students with an additional 5,200 full-time and part-time staff and faculty members who will have access to the micro markets. The addendum responds to prospective respondents' posted questions and clarifies specifications and provisions of the original solicitation documents.
The current contract is held by Canteen, a Division of Compass Group North America. Commission structures are differentiated by machine type: traditional machines operate on a tiered commission schedule based on product category, while smart/micro markets operate on a 15 percent commission on all products with an overall minimum guarantee of $200,000 annually. Fiscal year 2024 (July 2023 through June 2024) generated gross revenues of $788,624.80. The College currently operates three larger smart markets and three mini-smart markets across designated campuses. Prospective respondents are permitted to conduct independent site surveys at the College campuses, though official tours are not being offered. This ITN aims to enhance current operations and service levels while maximizing financial support to the College.
