About this file

This is Addendum 2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the City of Ocala, Florida, for grout injection services at Martin Luther King Jr. Tennis Courts located at 1510 NW 4th Street, Ocala, Florida. The solicitation number is ITB-CIP/2501035, and the addendum was issued on November 5, 2025, by Buyer Caley Conard. The project requires an experienced contractor to provide all labor, equipment, and materials for grout injection services in accordance with recommendations from a Geotechnical Site Exploration Report prepared by GEO-Tech, Inc. Bidders must possess a minimum of five years' experience in injection grouting services and hold a valid Florida General Contractor or Underground Utility Contractor license. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting was scheduled prior to bid submission. The City will award the contract to the lowest bidder meeting all specified requirements, with payment on a unit price basis for actual work completed rather than estimated quantities.

Addendum 2 addresses three key operational questions from prospective bidders. Overnight equipment storage is permitted at the contractor's own expense, with the City assuming no liability for vandalism or damage. Contractors must supply their own water for work operations or rent a hydrant meter from the City and pay for usage. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for removing the palm tree and any vegetation located at the corner of Boring B-6 that must be removed to complete the project. Bidders must submit a completed price proposal covering all mandatory line items on a unit price basis, understanding that quoted quantities are estimates and actual payment will reflect only work performed and installed.
