About this file
This document is Amendment #1 to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #33916-13615 for linen services issued by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Services for the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute. The amendment provides clarifications and updates to the original solicitation, including responses to vendor questions about specifications for COG Jacket-WarmUp, COG Pant-Scrub, and COG Shirt-Scrub items. The current contract is with Linen King LLC, with a maximum liability of $363,456, and the amendment introduces revised specifications and terms for a new 5-year contract. The contract will cover piece rental linen services with an estimated total volume across multiple item categories, including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, washcloths, and various operational linens and clothing items.
The amendment specifies detailed service requirements, including three-day-per-week delivery and pick-up services, with deliveries occurring between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The contractor must maintain strict quality standards, with linens meeting specific fabric composition, size, and durability specifications. The total estimated contract value is $733,497 for the 60-month term, with the state planning to award to the lowest-cost bidder meeting all requirements. Key additional requirements include maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage, complying with state and federal regulations, providing detailed reporting, and adhering to infection control and safety standards. The amendment also clarifies that a loading dock is available, though a liftgate will still be needed, and that standby linen will not be billed separately.
