About this file

Addendum No. 2 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 25-062 was issued by Citrus County, Florida's Board of County Commissioners on January 2, 2025, for the Citrus County Jail HVAC Boiler Replacement project. The addendum revises the project timeline, extending the bid submittal due date to January 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with a public opening via Microsoft Teams at 2:15 PM on the same day. The scope of work involves removing the existing 4 million BTUH boiler and heating hot water pumps, and installing four 1 million BTUH direct vent condensing boilers with new primary and secondary pumps. The project will be performed at the Citrus County Detention Center, with work hours limited to Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM.

Contractors are required to obtain pre-approval for equipment by the Q&A deadline of January 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM, with bids lacking pre-approval subject to rejection. The project involves modifying existing heating water piping, installing new code-approved flue piping, reworking electrical connections, and integrating the new boilers and pumps into the existing KMC BACnet control system. The contractor will be responsible for all permits, fees, fire system requirements, and engineering, and must provide a one-year warranty on workmanship and materials. Due to the project's location in a secure detention facility, all personnel, tools, and materials must be checked in and out daily, with work pre-scheduled through Facilities Management and jail personnel.
