About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 25-05 by the City of Oviedo, Florida, concerning the Splash Zone Play Structure Replacement and Aggregate Quartz Finish project. The addendum modifies the original bid documents dated October 13, 2024, and extends the bid due date from November 14, 2024, to November 21, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The addendum addresses seven specific questions from potential bidders regarding the project, including details about tile replacement, beam concrete repairs, panel theming, underwater light replacements, and bonding requirements.

The addendum provides clarification on several key aspects of the project, including that tile replacements are contingent on code compliance, deck repairs can be included as an additive option, and panel coloration can be bid as a solid color with an option for thematic design at an additional cost. For underwater lights, the bid should include bulb and gasket replacement, with the option to provide an additive cost for fixture replacement if needed. The performance and labor bond requirements are also outlined, stating that a bond will be required if the bid amount exceeds $200,000, with the bond needing to cover 100 percent of the contract price and meet specific surety company ratings.
