About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2024-011 issued by Clarendon County Procurement for the Water Main Extension - Phase 5 project in South Carolina. The addendum addresses seven specific questions from potential bidders regarding project details, including permit requirements, testing and inspection responsibilities, water service sizes, and technical specifications for water main construction. The document clarifies that test inspections and approvals should be spread across bid proposal items, traffic control and surveying costs should be distributed across bid items, and provides technical guidance such as requiring HDPE pipe to be minimum DR11, 160 psi for directional bores.

The addendum does not specify exact contract pricing or funding sources, but provides critical technical clarifications for bidders. Notable technical specifications include that restrained joint PVC C900 cannot be used for directional bores, a detail for the Pressure Reducing Station will be provided in a future addendum, and water service connections will have a lump sum cost for each of the five connections. The document maintains the original submission deadline and directs all questions to Jeffrey A. Hyde, Procurement Director, at jhyde@clarendoncountygov.org, with submissions to be made to the Clarendon County Procurement Office located at 3 South Church Street in Manning, SC.
