About this file

The document is a Notice of Intent to Award from the City of Sanford Purchasing Division in Florida, issued on February 25, 2025, for IRFQ 24/25-300R Towing Services-City Fleet. The solicitation seeks towing and recovery services for city-owned vehicles and equipment, with the intent to award the contract to two firms: Cortes Towing dba AATR and On Time Transport. The procurement requires a towing service provider capable of responding 24/7, with a main office within Sanford city limits, and able to respond to tow requests within 30 minutes. While the original bid opening was scheduled for January 2nd, 2025, and subsequently rescheduled, the current proposal was due on February 18th, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time.

The Notice of Intent to Award emphasizes that the award is subject to final departmental approval and does not constitute a formal agreement. The City reserves the right to revoke the award, reject all bids, or re-solicit if the apparent successful bidders fail to negotiate and execute an acceptable agreement. Bidders must be registered vendors with the State of Florida, have a minimum of three years in business, and comply with specific requirements including Florida Statutes, insurance provisions, and E-Verify program participation. The contract is expected to have a one-year term with potential renewal options for up to five years, though specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed in this notice.
