About this file
This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB 8600 BYS1053) for decomposed granite gravel purchase and delivery. The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department seeks to procure decomposed granite to be used as a surfacing material on various hike and bike trails and designated park areas. Participation in the Small Business Preference Program is optional and not required for offerors to submit a responsive bid. Offerors meeting the defined criteria are encouraged to complete and include the preference form with their proposal.
The Small Business Preference Program is designed to encourage small business participation and increase opportunities for small businesses to conduct business with the City of Austin. Small businesses are defined as entities holding recognized certifications that comply with the US Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. The City recognizes specific certifications through its Small Business Program and may request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification status, including direct contact with the certifying entity. Misrepresentation of certification information may result in withholding of any available preference, disqualification from the resulting contract if the error was determined to be intentional, or contract voidance if the misrepresentation is discovered after award. Offerors must provide their recognized certification details, including the certifying entity name, certification acronym, certification number, and expiration date.
