About this file

This is a Small Business Preference Program submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 5000 RBB1014. The document outlines the City's optional Small Business Preference Procurement program, which is designed to encourage small business participation in City solicitations and increase opportunities for small businesses to conduct business with the municipality. Participation in the program and completion of the form are entirely optional for offerors responding to the solicitation. Eligible small businesses are defined as persons or corporate entities holding recognized certifications that comply with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. The City recognizes specific certifications for determining small business status, with details available on the City of Austin's website.

Offerors seeking to claim small business preference status must submit the certification form with their offer, providing their recognized certification information, certifying entity, certification name (acronym), certification number, and certification expiration date. The City reserves the right to request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly for verification. If an offeror's certification information is determined to be incorrect, the City may withhold available preference; if the error is found to be intentional, the offeror may be disqualified from the contract as non-responsible. Should misrepresentation be discovered after contract award, the City retains the right to void the contract entirely.
