About this file

This is a Living Wage Contractor Certification submittal document for the City of Austin, Texas, required under the City's Living Wages Program per Rule R161-17.14. The certification applies to all employees of the prime contractor and all tiers of subcontractors directly assigned to the contract. Contractors must certify that all current and future employees assigned to the City contract will be compensated at a minimum living wage rate. The document requires submission of a list identifying all known employees of the prime contractor and subcontractors, their employers, employment status, normal hourly rate, and job titles. Contractors must also affirm their commitment to pay all future employees the minimum living wage and their agreement not to retaliate against employees claiming non-compliance.

The minimum living wage requirement is $22.05 per hour. Violations of this provision require the contractor to pay affected employees the daily wage deficiency for each day the violation continues. Willful or repeated violations, or fraudulent statements on the certification, may result in contract termination for cause, suspension or debarment of the violating firm, or legal action. The document requires certification and signature by an authorized officer or representative of the contractor, along with printed name, title, and date of execution.
