About this file
This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to an IFB 5000 MAS1001 solicitation for HD-5 propane supply and delivery services. The form is an optional document that encourages small businesses to participate in City solicitations by certifying their small business status. Offerors are not required to complete or submit this form to respond to the solicitation; however, completion is encouraged for those meeting the small business criteria. The City of Austin defines small businesses as any person or corporate entity holding a recognized certification that complies with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standards. The form requires offerors to identify their certifying entity, certification name and acronym, certification number, and certification expiration date.
The City of Austin recognizes specific certifications in determining small business status for purposes of this program, with additional information available on the AustinTexas.gov website. The City reserves the right to request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification and status by contacting the certifying entity directly. Misrepresentation of certification information may result in the City withholding any available preference, disqualifying the offeror from any resulting contract if the error is determined to be intentional, or voiding the contract if the misrepresentation is discovered after contract award. This submittal document provides a mechanism for small business certified vendors to claim eligibility for potential procurement preferences in the City of Austin's HD-5 propane supply and delivery contract opportunity.
