About this file

This is a Small Business Preference submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB 2200 CSH1058) for rental activated carbon-based air treatment units. The form is optional and designed to encourage small businesses certified by recognized entities, including those meeting the U.S. Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standard, to participate in City solicitations. Offerors are not required to complete the form to respond to the solicitation; however, participation may provide preference benefits in the evaluation process.

The form requires offerors claiming small business status to provide their recognized certification details, including the certifying entity, certification name and acronym, certification number, and certification expiration date. The City of Austin reserves the right to request additional information to confirm an offeror's certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly. If the City determines that any certification information is incorrect, it may withhold available preference; if the error is determined to be intentional, the City may disqualify the offeror as non-responsible. Should misrepresentation be discovered after contract award, the City reserves the right to void the contract entirely.
