S. The Contract Documents are complementary, and what is required by any one shall be as binding as if required by all, as applicable in accordance with the order of precedence set forth in the General Contract Provisions, Section J, Supplementary Conditions. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, services, and other items necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work. Unless otherwise specifically noted, the Contractor shall provide and pay for all taxes, insurance, labor, materials, equipment, services, testing, tools, construction equipment and machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation, and other facilities and services including temporary piping, pumping, power generating, and dewatering equipment necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work.
T. The organization of the Technical Specifications into divisions, parts, and paragraphs, and the arrangement of Contract Drawings shall not control the Contractor in dividing the Work among subcontractors or in establishing the extent of work to be performed by any trade.
U. The Contract Drawings are diagrammatic and indicate the general arrangement of systems and work included in the Contract. The Contractor shall field verify all dimensions and existing conditions affected by or affecting the Work, and shall include his verified dimensions and conditions with his submittals where appropriate. Do not scale the drawings for verification. The structural, civil, electrical and instrumentation drawings, specifications, and details shall be consulted in connection with the mechanical installations. Where the exact locations of fixtures and equipment are not definitely established, the Contractor shall field verify and shall confirm his information with the COR. The Contractor shall follow the Contract Drawings in laying out the Work and shall continually check the various trades to verify that sufficient space is available for the installation of all elements of the Work. Maximum headroom and space conditions shall be maintained at all points. Where headroom or space conditions appear inadequate, the COR shall be notified before proceeding with installations.
V. The Contract Drawings and Specifications may not indicate all offsets, fittings, and accessories which may be required to perform the Work, but this does not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility of making accommodations for non-identified offsets, as well as providing such fittings and accessories necessary to complete the Work at no additional cost to the Government. The Contractor shall carefully investigate the conditions affecting his work including existing materials and dimensions and shall arrange his work accordingly, furnishing such fittings, valves, transitions, pull or junction boxes, and accessories as may be required to meet such conditions.
W. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for ensuring that all of the Contractor’s suppliers; manufacturers of furnished equipment, structures and specialty items; and sub-contractors have reviewed all applicable Contract Documents relative to their work to avoid potential claims that are based on failure to review relevant Contract Documents, including the Contract Drawings. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, material and services not provided by the Contractor’s suppliers, manufacturers, Page 01.11.00-4 USIBWC Solicitation IBM15B0002 fabricators, and/or subcontractors but required for complete and operable facilities as described in the Contract Documents.
X. All schedules shown on the Contract Drawings and in the Specifications are partial schedules that are shown for the Contractor’s convenience and information only. The Contractor shall be responsible for complete take-offs and shall furnish and install all equipment, labor, materials, appurtenances and specialty items required for complete and operable facilities per the Contract Documents.
