About this file
This document provides enrollment priority group definitions for Veterans Affairs health care benefits. It outlines eight priority groups based on factors such as service-connected disability ratings, special eligibility needs, and income thresholds. The highest priority groups include Veterans with VA-rated disabilities of 50% or more, those determined unemployable due to service-connected conditions, and Medal of Honor recipients. Lower priority groups are based on disability ratings, prisoner of war status, Purple Heart recipients, and income levels. Post-9/11 Veterans receive enhanced enrollment benefits for five years after discharge. The related federal contract opportunity is for the Bowling Green CBOC through the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration VISN 9, but no additional details are provided on required products or services.

Enrollment Priority Groups Today’s Veterans have a comprehensive medical benefits package, which VA administers through an annual patient enrollment system. The enrollment system is based on priority groups to ensure health care benefits are readily available to all enrolled Veterans.
Complementing the expansion of benefits and improved access is our ongoing commitment to providing the very best in quality health care service to our patients when they are needed during that enrollment period, regardless of the treatment program or the location.
