About this file
This document contains a request for proposal for ship-to-shore and rail mounted gantry crane maintenance services. The Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command requires scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as major repairs for cranes located in North Carolina and California. Scheduled maintenance includes inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance to avoid failures. Unscheduled maintenance covers special inspections, diagnostics, and repairs following malfunctions. Major projects have unknown requirements and will be priced separately from scheduled maintenance. Evaluation will focus on pricing for scheduled maintenance tasks in CLINs ending in 01, as unscheduled and major work cannot be estimated in advance. Normal mission lengths are up to 5 days for California locations and potentially extended over weekends in North Carolina, requiring day and occasional night shifts.
