ATACATAC
Screen: Input Customer supply personnel use maintenance document and/or BC1 DD1348 to scan or input document number, stock number and serial number of BCM item into eRMS.
Retail supply systems generate a pre-populated list of BCM items in eRMS. Supply personnel can select from the list to automatically proceed in eRMS.
BCM list acts as a due-in from maintenance.
Deployed Ground Marines enter item disposition code, priority code, and destination in eRMS OP module to generate an A5-DD1348.
Data entry may be completed by TARP Representative.
Deployed Ground Marines proceed to Screen: Paperwork step.
Screen: Verify Customer supply personnel verify that part number on item and stock number in eRMS match.
If numbers do not match, supply personnel enter the part number into eRMS, which pulls list of matching stock numbers. Supply personnel select appropriate interchangeable stock number.
If interchangeable stock number is not found, supply personnel hold part for further research with maintenance or create BC1 DD1348 in eRMS to initiate turn-in to ATAC deep screener.
Screen: Paperwork Once part and stock number match is verified, eRMS automatically generates disposition, priority, paperwork and due-in transaction.
Paperwork includes:
• BC2 DD1348 for verified items
• BC1 DD1348 1A for items escalated to deep screen
• 129P label
Label is optional depending on customer and disposition.
eRMS generates A5_ DD1348 for deployed Ground Marine items.
Beyond capability of maintenance If NRFI item is determined beyond capability of maintenance (BCM) at given level, maintenance turns item and maintenance document over to appropriate supply section.
Aviation maintenance sections use MAF maintenance document.
Ship and submarine maintenance sections use 2K maintenance document.
Customers without eRMS must also complete BC1 in appropriate maintenance system.
See RIP ATAC Submission map for RIP customer process.
Determine packaging requirements Packaging personnel enter stock number from DD1348 in CNP-700 to determine packaging requirements.
Packaging personnel may be customer supply personnel, separate packaging personnel, or a third party. Therefore, intermediate transport from supply to packaging may be necessary.
All items travel with corresponding DD1348s.
Package and stage for transport If location has capability to package according to CNP-700 requirements, packaging personnel package and stage for transport.
If item requires crating, packaging personnel move item to crating section.
If specialized reusable container is necessary but not on-hand, packaging personnel must obtain prior to transport unless alternative minimum packaging is authorized in CNP-700 and container is not mandatory.
Full packaging is always required to transport ATAC exclusions.
If location does not have capability to fully package or if item has been escalated to ATAC deep screen, packaging personal package item according to alternative minimum packaging requirements and stage for transport to ATAC.
Create manifest Customer shipping personnel create shipping manifest in eRMS.
eRMS automatically pulls DD1348s available for shipment and divides them into shipping option bundles.
eRMS assigns TCNs at manifest level.
(#1) Preferred method
Manifest to turn-over (POT)
• Fully packaged items only
• Most ashore routine items
• Some ashore Carcass Express items
• Only available CONUS and Hawaii
(#2) Manifest Direct
• All exclusions
• Fully packaged items only
• Most ashore Carcass Express items
• Some ashore routine items
• Most OCONUS shipments
(#3) Manifest to ATAC
• Non-exclusions only
• All afloat turn-ins (except exclusions)
• All items not fully packaged
• All BC1s or for deep screen
Ship manifest Items are shipped via appropriate transportation method for manifest type:
Afloat customers, including deployed Ground Marines, use an intermediate offload method in order to reach final destination (manifest direct) or an ATAC location (manifest to ATAC).
• plane (COD)
• helicopter (VOD)
• in-port
• ship (CLF)
If intermediate offload method is used, customer shipping personnel must enter the following information in addition to proof of shipment requirements listed above:
(COD) tail or mission number
(VOD) tail or mission number
(in-port) no additional data necessary
Select (CLF) name and UIC from dropdown list
CLFs may receipt and remanifest prior to offload.
Record proof of shipment Shipping personnel record proof of shipment in eRMS and enter mode and SCAC at manifest level.
Proof of shipment requirements by transportation method are:
eRMS generates D6R [notification of turn-in] transaction for each item.
eRMS does not generate D6Rs for Ground Marine items.
ATAC screen ATAC screening personnel complete “screen: input,” “screen: verify,” and “screen: paperwork” steps from above/customer process.
If BC1 DD1348 for deep screen, ATAC deep screen personnel determine interchangeable stock number and complete entry in eRMS.
ATAC package ATAC packaging personnel complete “determine packaging requirements” and “package and stage for transport” steps from above/customer process.
Most ATAC locations have full packaging capabilities. Small ATAC locations and ATAC mobile nodes may need to ship to an ATAC Hub for final packaging.
ATAC create manifest ATAC shipping personnel create shipping manifest in eRMS.
eRMS automatically pulls DD1348s available for shipment and divides them into shipping option bundles.

Receive at final destination Final destination receives manifest and performs inventory receipt.
Inventory system automatically passes D6K [receipt] transaction to NAVICP.
eRMS displays D6Ks online.
eRMS does not display D6K for Ground Marines items.
ATAC receipt For each item received, ATAC receiving personnel enter document number, stock number and date received in eRMS via barcode scan or manual entry.
Manifest/shipment may include:
• BC1 DD1348s from non-eRMS customers
• BC1 DD1348 1As escalated to deep screen
• BC2 DD1348s (screening complete) for additional packaging and/or transshipment
• A5 DD1348s for packaging or transshipment (deployed Ground Marines)
Any exclusions are processed according to appropriate exclusion path.
eRMS generates D6A [carcass receipt] and D7 [issue] transactions for items received.
eRMS does not generate D6A/D7 for Ground Marines items.
