About this file
This amendment modifies a solicitation for a non-personal services contract to dispose of expired medical equipment and install new shelving at a Navy warehouse in San Diego, California. The contractor will remove approximately 340 pallets of expired medical protective equipment and emergency response gear, install new warehouse shelving, and reorganize remaining supplies on the new shelves. The amendment responds to bidder questions by clarifying that the site has concrete floors and functioning sprinklers, and extends the lead time for racking installation to ten weeks.

Amendment 04 HT9410-24-Q-2004 NMCSD Warehouse and Decon Gear Removal
The purpose of this Amendment 04
1. Revise the Performance Work Statement
2. Respond to Requests for Information, as follows:
1. Will there be concrete being poured where the racking is being installed? It looks as if the ground is asphalt or dirt? We are unable to install pallet racking on neither asphalt or dirt
The ground is made of concrete, which allows for pallet racking system installation.
2. Is the contract reading that our installation crew would need to move all product?
The installation crew will assist in moving heavier items on racking system in accordance to the PWS.
3. If there are not sprinklers in the building, then the racking will not be able to be permitted (same with number 1 if there is no concrete). Is the client ok not having this permitted with the city and/or county?
The Government verified the warehouse for sprinklers, and they are present and working.
4. Lead time for racking once downpayment is received is about 10 weeks at present time. This will make the workable time period unattainable, is this able to be extended.
