Rating Descriptions
Exceptional
Performance meets all contractual requirements and exceeds many. Contract performance was accomplished with few minor problems for which corrective actions taken by the contractor were highly effective. To justify an exceptional rating, please identify multiple events that resulted in a beneficial outcome due to the contractor's efforts. There should be no significant weaknesses associated with performance.
Very Good
Performance meets contractual requirements and exceeds some. Contract performance was accomplished with some minor problems for which corrective actions taken by the contractor were effective. To justify a very good rating, please identify an event that resulted in a beneficial outcome due to the contractor's effort. There should be no significant weaknesses associated with performance.
Satisfactory
Performance meets contractual requirements. Contract performance resulted in some minor problems for which corrective actions taken by the contractor were satisfactory. To justify a satisfactory rating, there should have been only minor problems, or major problems that the contractor recovered from without significant impact to the contract. There should be no significant weaknesses associated with performance.
Marginal
Performance does not meet some contractual requirements. Contract performance reflects problems for which the contractor's corrective actions have had little impact. To justify a marginal rating, please identify a signficant event that the contractor had trouble overcoming and state the impact.
Unsatsifactory
Performance does not meet most contractual requirements, and corrective actions are either not taken or ineffective. To justify an unsatisfactory rating, please identify multiple events or a single event of significant magnitude that the contractor could not overcome and negatively impacted performance.
