Q3: PWS Paragraph 5.2.3 k. and l. – Whose cost responsibility is it for the purchase of Meals Ready to Eat (MRE’s)? Government or Contractor? It is assumed that the other food and beverage requirements required along with issuance of the MRE’s are Contractor responsibilities.

Q4: Within the past several years, how many situations have required the issuance of MRE’s for either PWS 5.2.3 k or l?
A4: We ordered kosher MREs for 1 person for 8 weeks and also ordered MREs after Hurricane Sandy.

Q8: PWS 5.2.3 Menu Requirements, a. Entrees, Lunch and Dinner – Please clarify the number of entrees required for the Recruit Dining Room? Is it one main entrée and one speed line item plus a Healthy Choice entrée? The wording in paragraph a. does not appear to be in agreement with Fast Food and Entrée listings in Technical Exhibit 2, which does not mention “Healthy Choice”?
A8: TE 2 is modified to agree with the PWS. For lunch/dinner, there will be a fast food line item and 2 entrees (one with whole meat and one healthy choice).
Q9: Technical Exhibit 1 – The number of meals served in FY 2012 was 157,111 more than meals served in FY 2013. Meals served year to date in FY 2014 are tracking ahead of FY 2013. Can you provide any projected trends for the amount of recruits for the new contract Base Year and beyond?
A9: We have no way of projecting the number of recruits. All historical information has been provided in the Technical Exhibit.
Q10: Attention to Offeror, top of page 2, “shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of the Offer”, but page 38 of RFP states Vol 1 two copies and one electronic copy, Vol 2 two copies and one electronic copy. Which is correct?

A16: MREs are to be provided by the contractor.
Q17: PWS page 12 paragraph 5.2.9 references linens. Is the contractor to supply linens or simply store the linens?

A18: No, facilities engineering supplies the light bulbs.
Q19: PWS page 13 paragraph 5.2.11 c. please clarify if the contractor is to provide a menu board for the permanent party side of the facility and the Government provides a menu board (electronic) for the recruit side the facility.

A20: Last sentence of paragraph 5.3.1 is deleted.

Also, please clarify how the contractor is to maintain the drains without removing drain covers?
A21: The contractor can remove covers to do maintenance but they have to be replaced when maintenance is done. If covers are missing and damage occurs then the contractor is responsible for repair. PWS paragraph has been revised to reflect this clarification.
Q22: On TE 5 you list a Lobster Tail as being 8 oz and a Full Lobster as being 1 lb. On TE 10, Graduation Meals you reflect a Lobster Tail as being 14 oz. Should it also be 8 oz as this is the size in TE 5?
A22: Yes, it should be 8 ounce. TE 10 is changed to reflect this.
Q23: Solicitation, page 37 – Be advised that the labeling of Attachments 3 and 4 are reversed.
Attachment 3 is the PP Questionnaire and 4 is the Schedule of Services and Prices Evaluation Form.
A23: This has been corrected.
