CDA - Model #: KNWAI-A/H 100HP (2) Frequency Check and record all operating parameters on the daily operating record furnished with the assembly. (See Appendix A) M Adjust or service as required or indicated. M Check for proper operation of the intercooler and aftercooler automatic drain valves. The valves should pulse briefly each 1-2 second while the compressor is loaded. The intercooler automatic drain will not operate while the compressor is unloaded. The intercooler drain line has a check valve to prevent backflow of drained condensate while the compressor is unloaded, inspect the valve for proper operation. Do not operate the compressor with the service valves for the automatic drain valves closed. M

Check operation of capacity control valve by observing load/unload cycle. Press manual unload if necessary to unload compressor. M Test pilot lights by pressing Lamp Test key on Utility page. M Inspect interior of the compressor cabinet for abnormal conditions including excessive dust, leaks, and loose parts. M Drain condensate in control air filter. M Check oil level. M Air filter or oil filter must be changed if the terminal displays a filter service alert. M Review event list for alerts and unreported shutdowns. M Inspect control air filter. M Maintain daily operating record log per visit (min monthly) Mail daily operating record card to the factory, keeping copy for your file. The daily operating record cards are regularly reviewed by trained service personnel to look for unusual trends and to assist in preventative maintenance. This lifetime service is included in the purchase price of the compressor assembly and will aid in providing long, economical and trouble free operation of the compressor. M Drain sump and fill with new oil. Oil should be drained while hot. See section 6.5 for lubricant information. A Clean oil sump breather element with a suitable cleaner and let dry completely. A Replace oil filter and gasket. A Inspect discharge check valve for wear; repair or replace as required. A

Dismantle and inspect capacity control valve assembly. Replace diaphragm, V packing's, bushings and Teflon seat. Inspect shaft for wear. A Check daily operating records for aftercooler efficiency. Clean cooler cores if required. The preferred method of cleaning the exterior is to blow the core off with compressed air in a direction parallel to the fins in order not to damage them. If a pressure washer is used care must be taken to avoid wetting any electrical connections. Contact factory for more information. A

Check daily operating records for oil cooler efficiency. Clean cooler core exterior if necessary. If the inside of the oil cooler needs cleaning, disconnect the cooler from the oil plumbing. Oil passages, when slightly fouled, are to be cleaned with ethylene perchlorate or an equivalent solvent. Cleaning time is between 10 and 30 minutes. After cleaning, blow out the solvent with compressed air. A Inspect safety valve for abnormal wear or damage. A Motor lubrication should be at the motor manufacturer's recommended intervals. As required Test low oil pressure shutdown. A Test all temperature shutdowns. A Reset unloading system service counter to zero. A

KNW: K077 (4)

IR: PNLPII-12 (1)

Regular maintenance of the condensate discharge drain is recommended. Flush out accumulated sludge and dirt by opening manual drain valve about once a month. M Disassemble and service at least once a year. Drains are designed to operate at one discharge per minute for one year before servicing is required. Operation at more that one discharge per minute may equire more frequent servicing. (NOTE: Before starting the servicing procedure, make sure you have a Repair Parts Kit on hand). A
