3.3 Performance Objective #3: BMDS Logistics Assessments and
Analysis
Task Details
The contractor shall assist with analysis and assessments of life-cycle logistics support for the BMDS. This includes the development, acquisition, testing, deployment and sustainment of BMDS equipment, including hardware and software. The contractor shall also provide an end of week report for all areas identified in this objective. The specific requirement will be determined prior to execution of the tasks described below.
Analyses and logistics assessments shall include but are not limited to the activities identified below:
a. Provide recommendations for planning and defining logistics assessments, data collection requirements, and associated procedures.
b. Develop, conduct, analyze and document special studies. Special studies include evaluations and recommendations on Life-Cycle-Cost (LCC)/Design-to-Cost (DTC) studies to identify logistics support deficiencies/omissions; transportability; supportability; human systems interfaces; level of repair; spares and provisioning; test and in-service failures; maintenance procedures; Source of Repair Analysis (SORA);
Logistics Management Information (LMI) Analysis; Demilitarization Plan;
Manpower Estimate Reports; Business Case Analysis (BCA); Core Logistics Analysis (CLA); Core Depot Assessment (CDA); Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA); Depot Maintenance Study (DMS); and Operations and Sustainment (O&S) and total ownership cost reduction alternatives.
c. Review, assess, and analyze MDA logistics policies, and make recommendations for improvement.
