The related federal contract opportunity is for the Special Operations Forces Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements Family of Tactical Headborne Systems Coxswain Helmet System. The United States Special Operations Command intends to award a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity firm fixed price production contract worth a minimum of $150,000 and maximum of $95 million. Proposals are due by June 2018 and must include production demonstration models. The contract is for a fully developed non-ballistic helmet system and modular accessories meeting Special Operations requirements.
