Q: Does the demolition include removing the speakers from the ceiling?
Government Response: No, speakers do not need to be removed.

Q: Hooking anything back into speakers?
Government Response: No. The speakers that are left in room 1280, will remain disconnected.
(3)
Q: Are the work centers sit-to-stand?
Government Response: Yes, electric sit-to-stand. Minimum size of no less than 60”.. prefer +62” if they will fit in the spaces provided.

Q: Will the PDU be supporting 2 or 4 independent…?
Government Response: Room 1280: Minimum 16 outlets (8 per every two tables). Other rooms, minimum of 8 outlets.

Q: Where will the PDU shared between work centers be installed?
Government Response: Table height or above

Q: Will static control grounding mats be needed for the work centers?
Government Response: Static control grounding mats will not be necessary, but the work centers need to be heavy duty and hold a good amount of weight.

Q: Will the 20-amp dedicated circuits come out of the electrical room?
Government Response: This is optional for the Vendor. Either the Comm Room Electrical Panel or Electric Room panel may be used.

Q: Do they rack switched need to be lockable?
Government Response: No lock required. Please ensure the unclass side is a Dual Mount and the Classified side is a single mount.
(9) Q: Are there SCIF boundaries?

Q: Where will the second NIPR be installed?
Government Response: Underneath the first NIPR.

Q: Fiber or stacking cable?
Government Response: No stacking cables required. Reminder: 1 six strand goes to room 1280 and 1 six strand go to
Lab room.

Q: Do the Panduits need to be surface mounted?
Government Response: Yes – is there another way?

Q: Standard service loop?
Government Response: At least 5ft, but 10ft preferred.

Q: Will the quads be 4 side-by-side or dual stack?
Government Response: The NIPR Quad and The SIPR Quad will both be mounted at approx. 18” AFF behind each work center. NOTE: We must maintain at least 3” separation between the two network Quad boxes.

Q: Is there existing power in the walls or does new electricity need to be run?
Government Response: Equipment will be using dedicated power in the rooms. NOTE: Some power may have to be relocated but only the LAB will require new circuits.

Q: Can we get line diagrams for existing AV system?
Government Response: Yes, the Government will try to provide these.

Q: Can the cable tray be provided?
Government Response: The Government is working on getting the cable tray diagrams. More to follow on this.
(18) Q: Does the Government want the TV’s being replaced to be protected with a cover?

Government Response: The existing TV’s moving from room 1280 to room 1308 need to remain in good, working condition; no damage. The removed monitors in room 1308 must also remain in good working order so we can re-use them. The new 60” Monitors will NOT be required to be covered.

1.1.1.1 Q: Has the requirement increased from two (2) network switch racks, to three (3) network switch racks, (2) Unclass and (1) Classified”?
Government Response: The requirement is a dual stack on the NIPR and a single on the SIPR.

Q: During the site visit it was mentioned that the sit to stand desks need to be a minimum of 6 ft wide. Can we get the architectural drawings for this space so that we can verify the 6 ft wide sit to stand tables with privacy panels will fit into the space as shown in the solicitation documents?
Government Response: Based on the dimensions of room 1280, 72” desk on the wall that requires four 4 work center tables will not fit… so, the maximum table dimension cannot exceed 54”….

1.1.2 Q: Is it a requirement to provide the moveable pedestals for each work-center that are shown in the solicitation documents?
Government Response: Yes – one per table. Exception is the EMI Bench not required.

Government Response: Yes – not required.

1.2.1 Q: Is the vendor responsible for providing the two (2) CAT6 patch cables per network to each IT work-center?
Government Response: no – Patch cables from the wall jacks is Gov Responsibility

Government Response: Yes – but only in that one space. All other numbers remain the same.

Government Response: Yes – working on it. Since the other spaces are setup differently, 72” tables will work.
However, they will not work in room 1280. Recommend no more than 54” tables for room 1280 – all others can remain at 72” wide.

Government Response: No issues.

Q: During the site survey it was stated that the government had a desire for two (2) unclass network switches vice the single unclass switch identified in the Amendment. Can the government provide complete clarity to the requirement? Is the requirement for two (2) Unclass switches and a third classified network switch, or just a single unclass network switch and a single classified network switch.
Government Response: see above response. The vendor will provide a dual Unclass network switch wall rack mount
(can be two separate) and a single classified Switch Rack wall mount for a total of 3 (or a single and dual).

Q: During the site survey there are two (2) existing white boards installed in the room. Is it the contractors responsibility to remove the existing whiteboards from the walls or will this be completed prior to the contractors installation?
Government Response: Vendor will install one of the two white boards and relocate on the back wall. The other white board will be returned to the gov.

Q: If the response to question 2 above is that the contractor is responsible to remove the whiteboards, who’s responsibility will it be should the walls require repair due to damage caused during the installation or by the original mounting methods such as adhesives? Will the contractor be responsible to paint for repair the area should it be required after removal?
Government Response: The gov will make the repairs/paint.

Q: For Objectives #1, #2, and #4 – Can the government provide the salient characteristics and/or specifications of the desired IT workstations?
Government Response: As noted during the walk through, the style and functionality was discussed, and this is the government’s desire to receive the same/similar product. Bottom Line: For all rooms except 1280, tables should be around 72” and have an electric button for raising and lowering the table. Also, the mounting arms for the monitors were discussed extensively. Room 1280 will have no more than 54” wide work centers (with privacy panels).

Government Response: Bar height rigid metal framed work bench. The top can be wood or other rigid material (except metal). Prefer wood but melamine type material is also acceptable.

Q: For Objective #3, During the site survey it was mentioned that the Work
Center Bench is required to be an antistatic type bench? Is the still a requirement?
Government Response: not necessarily. See above response. Rigid, strong, bar height is required. No anti-static.

Q: For Objectives #1, #2, and #3, Can the government provide the salient characteristics and/or specifications of the desired cipher lock?
Government Response: standard cipher lock. Nothing special.
(43)
Q: For Objectives #1, #2, #3 and #4 - In the requirements for each a PDU is requested for the IT work centers and Lab bench. How many outlets should each be provided with? Eight (8) were discussed during the site visit, is that correct?
Government Response: Room 1280 can be a 16 port PDU that is shared between two desks or a single 8 port will work. All other work centers will have a single 8 port PDU>

Q: Under Past Performance Volume III; what content is being requested under “Contract/agreement information”? an example would be helpful to ensure proper submission.
Government Response: Any descriptions of past work you have done that are similar in nature to what is being requested in this solicitation.
