Amendment 0002
1. Please provide scale drawings for existing office space and warehouse and office reflective ceiling plan, if electric and fire alarm are available, also please provide. We do not have the current reflective ceiling plan, and the new reflective ceiling plan is the responsibility of the contractor.
2. Provide scale drawing for Attachment 3, showing new walls and doors and reflecting office moved to right. We cannot provide a scale drawing, but we did include the dimensions on the revised drawings.
3. Are the existing 2x4 drop in lights to be reused or to be new? The existing lights can be reused.
4. How many 2x4 drop in lights is required per work pods and for new offices. We need the office area lighting to be 80-100 candlepower.
5. You indicated at Pre-bid meeting that the existing ceiling height would be kept, is this still the height? You indicated that there are (3) ceilings – would only removing (2) ceiling 2x4 acoustical and 1x1 acoustical glue plaster be better to conserve cost? Has 1x1 ceiling tile been tested for asbestos? There is one 2’x4’ acoustical ceiling, a 1’x1’ metal ceiling, and possibly another ceiling above this. In our research we have not identified more than two ceilings, but I am told there may be an additional ceiling over at least part of the area. We are having the ceiling tile tested for asbestos. We expect to receive the results next week.
6. If asbestos or lead paint is encountered, it was stated that Contractor should stop and SOFSA will have it removed by others, is this correct? Yes.
7. How many power poles are required for pod area, and will phone and communication be located in power poles? There will be 4-6 power poles. The contractor needs to provide 1 circuit for every 2 cubicles (a total of 12 circuits in the large cubicle area). Communication will be run through the power poles, but this is not the responsibility of the contractor.
8. What type of 2x4 acoustical ceiling tile and grid is to be used, USG, white, flush, or match existing? Match existing.
9. How many coats of paint do you want? New walls – prime and (2) coats finish, existing walls (2) coats, door/frames, trim – (2) coats. Is there a certain brand of paint you want to use? Two (2) coats on existing walls and trim and a primer coat plus two (2) coats on new walls.

Please provide Brand type and size of furnace (gas/electric) and air conditioner condenser and size/Tons 14-19 Seer, 95% efficiency gas furnace, etc. Where will condenser be located – locate or plan of HVAC unit to be replaced. Old duct going to roof is being used for fresh air. I would recommend using this for the replacement HVAC system(s) that are installed. We prefer either Trane or Carrier systems. Gas heat is preferred. Size of system is the responsibility of the contractor. The condensing unit needs to be placed on the dock right behind the location of the forklift charging station.
