About this file
This document is a detailed design and site map for a Transformer Upgrade project at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, dated Friday, May 24, 2024, Revision A. The primary electrical and civil work includes installing new electrical infrastructure: (1) a new 2-cell fiberglass conduit riser with 100A cutout switches, (2) a 5'x4' pullbox vault, and (3) a 1,500kVA, 30-pad mount transformer on a 6"x6"x6" concrete pad with ground rod terminations. The project involves pulling 600 CLF (1,800 SCLF) of 2 AWG CU tape shield conductor and approximately 1,500 SCLF of 2 AWG CU tape shield conductor for transformer installation.
The map shows the detailed site layout at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, with design layers including power lines, underground duct banks, overhead switches, pad services, transformers, handholes, and conduits. The document is marked as Proprietary & Confidential For Official Use Only (FOUO) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in the Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) category. The point of contact is Ryan Atchison from City Light & Power (CLP) Engineering, with the contact email rna@clpinc.com.
