About this file

This file contains workload data for Option Year Four (May 1, 2024 – April 30, 2025) of the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance System (GEODSS) Operation and Maintenance contract, broken down by three detachments (Det 1, Det 2, and 15 SPSS) plus a consolidated summary. The data tracks performance metrics across multiple operational areas referenced in the Performance Work Statement Section 1.1.9, including visiting team preparation, briefings and tours, exercises and inspections, taskings (HHQ and SOI), Tactics Improvement Proposals (TIPs), depot-level maintenance, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration, communications operations and maintenance, civil engineering documentation, and security-related activities such as visit request processing and personnel escorts.

Key workload indicators for the year show 1,115 total personnel supported for visiting teams (10,563 hours), 243 briefings and tours conducted with 397 attendees, 12,409 SOI taskings completed, 1,465 HHQ taskings performed, 49 items sent for TMDE calibration, 132 network outages reported, 54 long-haul circuit outages, 312 visit requests processed, and 2,780 personnel escorted for 4,848.95 hours. Additionally, 3,888 RPIE maintenance actions and 365 PCCIE maintenance actions were documented across both detachments, with 94 RPIE repair actions performed. No TIPs were developed, tested, or implemented during this option year, and exercises supported totaled only 3 with 2.5 hours duration. The monthly data shows significant variation in operational tempo, with notably higher activity levels in certain months such as September through February for various metrics.
