About this file

This is a workload data report for Option Year Three of the GEODSS (Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance System) Operations and Maintenance contract, covering the period May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024. The document provides detailed monthly workload metrics across three detachments (Det 1, Det 2, and 15 SPSS) and consolidated summary data for all sites combined, tracking operational activities and maintenance requirements across the Socorro, New Mexico; Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory; and Maui, Hawaii locations.

The workload data encompasses multiple operational categories including visiting team support (640 personnel supported across 4,550.1 hours), briefings and tours (176 conducted with 309 attendees), exercises and inspections (14 exercises and 16 inspections), headquarters taskings (2,743 taskings), and Space Object Identification (SOI) taskings (11,322 taskings requiring 1,224.5 hours). Maintenance and support metrics include civil engineering documentation showing 3,911 RPIE maintenance actions and 302 PCCIE maintenance actions, depot-level maintenance requests (23 total), TMDE calibrations (46 items), communications operations (21 network outages and 18 long-haul circuit outages requiring 523 hours of after-hours support), and security operations (331 visit requests processed and 3,208 personnel escorted for 5,336.28 hours). Tactics Improvement Proposals (TIPs) development showed 30 developed and tested but zero implemented. The data demonstrates significant operational tempo with monthly tasking frequencies and recurring maintenance and support requirements across all contract line items referenced in the underlying Performance Work Statement.
