About this file
The document is a comprehensive Construction Specification Standards manual for Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC), providing detailed requirements for all remodeling and construction projects across multiple technical divisions. The manual, which was last updated on 12/2/20 and is in its 14th revision, establishes precise specifications for everything from architectural elements to electrical, communication, and safety systems, with a requirement that any deviations must be pre-approved by the FVTC Director of Facilities.
In conjunction with these standards, FVTC is currently soliciting sealed bids for a specific project - the Trilogy Shampoo Station Addition. This project involves adding three shampoo stations in the Trilogy Salon, with work encompassing demolition, plumbing, electrical, casework, flooring, and painting. The project will be awarded to a single general contractor, and the specification standards manual will serve as the foundational guide for executing the work. The manual's comprehensive nature ensures that contractors have explicit guidance on materials, installation methods, testing requirements, and quality standards across all aspects of construction and renovation work at the technical college.
