About this file

This is a memorandum documenting Amendment 0001 to Request for Quotations (RFQ) FLT0018-26/1600003808 issued by the U.S. Department of Justice Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) on August 3, 2026. The amendment makes four substantive changes to the original solicitation: removal of the Credit Release Form from Part IV submission requirements, removal of FAR Clause 52.225-5 (Trade Agreements), replacement of "Various cord and drawstrings" with "Motor Vehicle Steering and Suspension Components" on Page 4 of the solicitation, and posting of Questions and Answers in an Excel spreadsheet format.

The amendment was issued by Supervisory Contract Specialist Aaron Mitchell to correct the original solicitation requirements and ensure fair and equitable competition among quoters. The changes are determined to be in the Government's best interest, as they clarify evaluation criteria and reduce unnecessary submission documentation while refocusing the procurement scope on Motor Vehicle Steering and Suspension Components.
