About this file
This Frequently Asked Questions document addresses installation requirements for the Griffin-Spalding School District's miscellaneous large equipment procurement. The District clarifies that bidders must plan to deliver, uncrate, assemble, and set equipment in place, rather than simply delivering and leaving items for District installation. This requirement stems from past issues where multi-part components were delivered unassembled, resulting in missing hardware or components when the District attempted assembly, causing operational delays and complications.
The District will assume responsibility for all remaining connection and hookup work to utilities and coordination of any required state inspections following the vendor's completion of assembly and sign-off. Bidders should incorporate these installation and assembly services into their proposals and pricing to ensure equipment arrives fully functional and ready for utility connections and inspections.

Is installation required for this bid? There is no specification, just deliver/uncrate/set in place.
Please have them plan to deliver, uncrate, assemble and set in place. We have had a few issues in the past when items two or three part components were not put together, but when we tried to do so hardware or items were missing, which caused a number of unnecessary issues.
Once this is done and signed off on, we will take care of remaining connection/hookups to utilities and setting up for state inspections, if required.
