Vacuum Pump RFI- 7.22.2019 q.Can the vacuum pumps be rebuilt or do they have to be new?
a.New pumps.
q.The same question for the container as long as it is weather proof?
a.Refurbished container OK, as long as weatherproof with estimated 15+ year service life with routine maintenance.
q.If based on the sizes of the pumps and additional heaters, etc, can you provide more power if needed or just down size the pumps and extend the time frame for pumpdown???
a.Power budget is considered fixed. Extending pumpdown time to meet power budget is the preferred approach if the spec cannot be met in full.
q.The backs of the containers have a double opening door that can be lockable, is that adequate for the removal of equipment and a man door, or does the man door need to be put in beside this.
aPer 3.1.11, a separate personnel door is required. It may, however, be built into one of the larger container-end double doors if space savings elsewhere are required. To clarify 3.1.12, is desired that the personnel door be secured with a keyed handle – the equipment door may be locked with a padlock.
