About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), C3BM Directorate at Wright Patterson Force Base, Ohio for market research on low-cost/affordable Fire Control Radar (FCR) systems. The RFI was issued on 15 July 2026 with a due date of 07 August 2026 at 1700 EST, with late responses subject to non-review. The Government is seeking information on industry capability to provide an FCR solution that can deliver defense in support of United States Air Force assets when engaging with various threats. This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), promise to issue an RFP, or commitment to contract. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response, and not responding does not preclude participation in any future RFP.
Respondents must address thirteen critical baseline attributes including track range, track accuracy, track update rate and latency, simultaneous track capacity, surveillance volume, identification and kill assessment, resilience in contested environments, Command and Control (C2) integration, manpower requirements, Size/Weight/Power (SWAP) footprint, transportability, mobility, and estimated bounding price point. Additionally, submissions should address three trade-space attributes: low-power operation, system autonomy, and effector interoperability. Responses must be limited to ten pages maximum (excluding cover page), formatted as PDF, with one-inch margins and Times New Roman 12-point font, and classified as UNCLASSIFIED. Respondents must provide detailed company information including name, address, point of contact, UEI, CAGE code, phone, email, web address, U.S./foreign ownership status, company size status, business system status, and facility clearance level. The anticipated NAICS code is 334511 (Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing). Responses should be submitted electronically to Primary Contracting Officer Heather Bakker (heather.bakker.1@us.af.mil) or Secondary CO Chris Core (christopher.core@us.af.mil). All interested contractors must be registered in SAM to be eligible for Government contract award.
