TO
DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR
REPAIR FIRE CODE DEFICIENCIES
FACILITY 30013
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, OHIO
PROJECT NUMBER: ZHTV 090006
1. The contract Drawings and Specifications are hereby amended in part as follows:
A. The warehousing and material operations within Facility 30013 shall remain operational throughout the project duration. The contractor shall accommodate this requirement through the planning and use of phased installation of all project work including but not limited to all sprinkler piping, fire alarm work, ceiling installations and fire wall construction. The Government shall be responsible to relocate existing warehoused material to permit contractor access and work in phased areas. The interior facility work shall be divided into seven
(7) major phases as described below. At least a two (2) week notice shall be given by the contractor to the Government to permit time for the Government to relocate material from a work phase area. The contractor shall be required to develop and submit a detailed phasing plan to the Government for review and approval prior to the start of any construction operation. The contractor shall provide a phasing plan that minimizes blockages of main access doors #28, #1, #5 and #10. Doors #28 and #1 cannot be simultaneously blocked for any length of time so that mission requirements for the Government tenant group are not impacted.
- PHASING CONCEPT: In the area of stacked pallets bounded by column lines 31.8 to 37 and A to Z as shown on drawing sheet D-100 there will be three (3) phases of approximately equal size. To the west of column line
31.8 and between column lines G and V.8, the remaining pallet storage area shall be handled as two (2) separate phases of approximately equal size. The remaining areas of Building 30013 may be handled as two (2) final separate phases of approximately equal size.
B. As a clarification, the project number located in the tile block of drawing number A003 is incorrectly noted as 08-10026 and shall be revised to indicate the correct project number 090006.
C. The contractor shall provide new 8 ft high chain link fencing for Battle Damage
Area as shown on the Addendum 1 drawings. The new fencing shall run approximately in line where existing office walls are removed in the Base Bid work. All chain link fencing shall have 2-1/2” diameter galvanized steel posts at approximately 8 ft o.c. with a 2” diameter continuous galvanized steel top and bottom rails. The addendum fencing shall tie into existing fencing to provide a secure and separate area as indicated.
