About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from solicitation FA857126Q0050 addressing clarifications raised during the site visit held on March 10, 2026. The document provides government responses to contractor inquiries regarding the installation and specifications of a 40-ton temporary AC unit to be leased and installed outside Building 185 at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.
Key technical clarifications include: ductwork will extend from the unit to the building exterior and an additional 3 feet inside the building, terminating under the roll-up door; electrical connection will tie into an existing 100-ampere disconnect and breaker located on the building's exterior; the contractor is responsible for providing all equipment necessary for proper installation, including any crane requirements; the unit will serve as primary cooling for a currently unconditioned building; and the requirement specifies a 40-ton unit, not a larger package alternative. The contractor remains responsible for all labor, materials, transportation (drop-off and pick-up), and project oversight to support the 402 Commodities Maintenance Group at Robins AFB in supplying cooling for the Conformal Fuel Tank shop. Additional questions in response to this solicitation were required to be submitted by end of business March 16, 2026, following the March 10 site visit.
