About this file
This document provides information on an upcoming federal contract opportunity for the Common Armament Tester for Fighter (CAT-F) program and the associated Government Reference Architecture (GRA) being utilized by the Automatic Test Systems Division.
The CAT-F opportunity posted on SAM.gov is currently in the pre-solicitation phase, with a sources sought notice issued to identify potential sources that can provide products and innovative solutions to meet Air Force requirements for pre-load and fault isolation testing across the F-16, F-15, and A-10 aircraft platforms at the organizational and intermediate levels. A virtual industry day will be hosted on November 14, 2023 to present CAT-F details, with one-on-one sessions on November 15 for interested companies to discuss technical solutions. The GRA information describes how the Automatic Test Systems Division intends to utilize digital modeling to manage programs through a Government Issued Framework and Implementation Hub. Definitions, data markings, and reference documents are also provided.

ATS GRA INFORMATION
This Automa c Test Systems (ATS) Government Reference Architecture (GRA) informa on is being provided by the ATS Division to improve transparency of the digital transforma on process. The intent of the ATS GRA informa on is to provide insight into how the ATS Division and other Air Force programs are intending to u lize digital modeling to manage programs. It is also intended to guide solu ons to common standards. This is a new process for the ATS
Division, and any feedback is welcome either through Na onal Defense Industrial Associa on
(NDIA) forums or directly to the ATS Division.
The ATS Division will define program requirements, contract deliverables, and behavioral models (as needed) in the Government Issued Framework (GIF). The Implementa on Hub
(iHub) is intended to be u lized by Industry to build/deliver solu ons, atr facts, and/or conduct model reviews.
The Government does not endorse any one system modeling language (SysML) applica on over any others. However, the Government provided GRA is modeled in Cameo and will be provided as a .mdzip file. Free Cameo reader applica ons are available from NoMagic.
There are five files associated with the GRA. Each is described below.
1. 01 GIF‐ATS GRA – Government Issued Framework; Tailorable model to convey program requirements and reusable model elements
2. 02 iHub‐ATS GRA ‐ Implementa on Hub; Common organiza on to store data, contribute ar facts and establish data rela onships
The two files above (GIF and iHub) are the GRA. The below files are for reference or are referenced within the core GRA model files. Other reference files may be included in program specific GRA’s as needed, but the core structure is the GIF/iHub.
3. ATS‐One Glossary – Defini ons of commonly used terms
4. Data and Classifica on Markings v1.1 – Provides marks and guidance for marking model elements
5. Reference and Sample Document Library – Reference document repository (“read‐only” model)
